`Most people spend more time & energy going around problems than in trying to solve them` – Henry Ford Statistical Process Control (SPC) is an effective method for monitoring virtually any process through the use of control charts. These control charts help to present data in a manner that focuses attention on abnormal events, separating the `trivial` from the `critical.` Typically, companies react to a process when a problem has already occurred. Every time we react to process problems, the process is controlling our behavior. In essence, we are responding to the process instead of controlling it. The purpose of SPC is to control our processes rather than be controlled by them. Measurement System Analysis (MSA), is a method to identify the components of variation in the measurement. It is used to quantify the impact of measurement errors and to ensure the integrity of data used for analysis. It will allow you to quickly determine areas of excellence and areas where improvements are needed to meet requirements for ISO/TS 16949 certified companies. Learn measurement system analysis fundamentals. This certification workshop features practice & exercise of linearity, bias, and stability studies. You’ll use tools to record and determine repeat ability and reproducible for attribute and variables data.


Day 1       Statistical Process Control

•         Introduction to SPC.
•         Data Collection.
•         Descriptive Analysis of Data - Pareto, Histogram, Scatter Plot, Run Chart.
•         Control Charts for Variables Data - Average/Range charts, Run Tests, Individuals Charts.
•         Control Charts for Attributes - P Charts, Np Charts, C Charts, U Charts.
•         Preparing and Analyzing Charts.
•         Process Capability - Capability Index – Cp, Performance Index – Pp, Process Capability – CpK, Process Performance – Ppk.

Day2     Measurement System Analysis

•         Introduction to different analysis in MSA.
•         Evaluating Error (Bias) and Uncertainties.
•         Analysis of Linearity of Instruments.
•         Analysis of Stability of instruments.
•         Classification of instruments into Measurement systems to evaluate Repeatability & Reproducibility.
•         MSA Study for Variable & Attribute Data.
•         Analyzing Repeatability and Reproducibility.
